Presenters:
Tammer Farid, BCG
Tammer Farid is a Principal in BCG’s Health Care and Industrial Goods practices. His project experience covers growth and portfolio strategy, commercial strategy and organizational design, post-merger integration, and operations/ quality management.
Tammer received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania, conducting research on the development of engineered proteins for solar energy capture. He holds a BA with honors in Chemistry from DePauw University, and taught science as a member of Teach for America. His professional interests include health care, education and emergent energy technologies. In his personal time he likes to travel and work on a car that he occasionally races.
Henry Heitzer, BCG
Henry Heitzer is a Consultant at BCG Chicago. He started at the beginning of 2015 and has focused primarily on Industrial Goods with some work in Health Care. Within these industries, he has focused on organizational design, corporate development, and operations. Prior to joining BCG, he received his PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from Northwestern University focusing on the development of novel plastic materials for electronic devices. Henry has a BA in Math and Chemistry from Carleton College. Outside of work, Henry enjoys sports analytics, cooking and exploring the city of Chicago.
Jennifer Heller, McKinsey
Jennifer Heller is an Engagement Manager in McKinsey’s Chicago office. Since joining the Firm in 2014, she has focused on serving clients in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Product industry on strategic initiatives across a range of functions including Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, and R&D. Prior to joining McKinsey, Jennifer completed her PhD in Immunology at Northwestern University’s Driskill Graduate Program. She also has prior work experience as a research trainee at Novartis Pharma.
Falak Shah, Exponent
Falak Shah is a Chicago-based consultant with Exponent, a multidisciplinary organization of scientists, physicians, engineers, and regulatory consultants. Falak specializes in solving complex engineering problems involving failures of structures and structural materials. At Exponent, he has assisted legal, insurance, and corporate clients on matters involving a wide range of industries—including construction, mining, healthcare, manufacturing, and consumer products. Falak completed his doctoral studies in Structural Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology; he holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida.
