Matt Hall, BCG
Matt joined the Chicago office of BCG in July 2016. He has worked in the insurance industry to improve the customer experience in call centers. Prior to joining BCG, Matt worked as a macroeconomic forecaster at the Research Seminar in Quantitative Economics, with a particular focus on the government sector and the labor market. He also worked at the Brookings Institution on fiscal policy, including tax and budget issues. Matt holds a BA in Economics from Princeton and a PhD in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Falak Shah, Exponent
Falak Shah is a Chicago-based consultant with Exponent, a multidisciplinary organization of scientists, physicians, engineers, and regulatory consultants. Falak specializes in solving complex engineering problems involving failures of structures and structural materials. At Exponent, he has assisted legal, insurance, and corporate clients on matters involving a wide range of industries—including construction, mining, healthcare, manufacturing, and consumer products. Falak completed his doctoral studies in Structural Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology; he holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Florida.
Jason Ralph, McKinsey
Jason is an Associate in McKinsey’s Chicago office. Since joining the Firm in 2016, he has focused on serving Insurance and Asset Management clients on a range of topics, including portfolio strategy, sales and distribution, and acquisitions. Jason completed his PhD in History at Northwestern. During his PhD, he completed an internship in McKinsey’s Munich office. Outside of work he enjoys playing music and skiing.
Youbean Oak, Navigant
Youbean Oak is a Managing Consultant in Navigant’s life sciences practice. Prior to joining Navigant, she was part of the life sciences team at Simon-Kucher & Partners. Youbean has advised clients ranging from top-25 pharmaceutical and medical device companies to small- to mid-sized life sciences companies, helping them with successful commercialization of innovations. She is experienced in various aspects of product development and commercialization, including early disease area assessment, product positioning, and pricing and market access strategies.
Youbean received her PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Harvard University, where she was a Herchel Smith Research Fellow. For her PhD, she combined basic cell biology with computer vision to study the role of a cellular scaffolding protein in tumor metastasis. She holds BAs in Biology and Mathematics from Cornell University.
